As always for our autumn festival we have the incomparable Wihan Quartet, our Quartet-in-Residence. This will be a very special occasion as it is planned to be the final Orpheus & Bacchus Festival. It will be hosted by Humphrey Burton. The Wihans will be augmented by some of our favourite (and famous) musician friends from the past in a number of the works. The programme is a deliberate choice of my favourites, and ends with a repeat of the Mendelssohn Octet that was such a sensation last September.
